Kentucky Steakhouse 86's O.J.

What's A Pariah Gotta' Do To Get A Rib-Eye?

This is great. Better than the inset photo of 'The Juice' doing his best impersonation of 'The Cos'. O.J. Simpson was tossed out of an 'upscale' steakhouse by the joint's owner, on the eve of the Kentucky Derby. Jeff Ruby, who owns restaurants in several states said that he walked up to Simpon's party of 12 seated in the back, and told the artist formerly known as Nordberg, "I'm not serving you." Ruby said that he was upset that a customer was 'giddy' over spotting Simpson. “I didn’t want that experience in my restaurant,” Ruby said, and added that the attention he was getting made him sick to his stomach. Here are some more comments by Ruby during a phone interview:

“I didn’t want to serve him because of my convictions of what he’s done to those families.”

“The way he continues to torture the lives of those families ... with his behavior, attitude and conduct.”

“It was the first time since 1994 he has ever shown any class, he showed it that night in the restaurant by leaving quietly."

O.J.'s attorney, Yale Galanter was unavailable to comment on the incident. Yale Galanter? I'll bet he knows Harvard Nobler.

I get where Jeff Ruby is coming from, but there was a better way he could have gone about things, and still made his point. Well, a funnier way. He should have served O.J. his steak, all pre-cut like his mommy did it--and a plastic spork, no knife.

It is not about race, it’s about murder. He was convicted in the civil court and has not paid a dime of the judgement against him. There should be an internet campaign to urge all restaurants to refuse him service until he pays that abused family the money he owes them. Until then he is dining on their money.

Murder is a 'criminal' offense. He was acquitted of murder in a 'criminal' court. How can this be about murder when he was not convicted of murder?

This incident is so stupid!! O.J. was acquitted so leave the poor man alone! He just wanted to eat... The public needs to STOP making the O.J. saga carry on! The American media is all about propaganda... America luvs gossip, it's pathetic!

I hope the man of the "UPSCALE" steakhouse gets sued!! Maybe he will think twice before making an idiotic decision.

Simpson was found guilty of killing in a civil court. He has refused to pay the civil judgement for many years, while living a life of luxury.
And if you have a problem with civil courts, then you can ask to have all the civil court judgements reversed that were won against cops who were found not guilty in the criminal system but were sued and lost in the civil system.
Simpson is a murderer. And the owner showed real class in refusing service, which he has a right to do to any customer.

Yeah, I'm with mikem on this. I don't think refusing to serve someone is continuing a saga, it's just about having a moral compass.
